Read MoreIts been 11 days since anyone other than myself has left the house. While no one in our home is immune-compromised or elderly, we know its important to maintain distance from all people to avoid spreading the virus to others. I read a report this morning that said eight people have the virus in my town now and the first child to die of Covid-19 was in our local hospital.
Read MoreIt is supposed to snow tomorrow. Snow, in November, on Thanksgiving. I live in the desert in California. IF it snows, it snows in February or March. Never in November. Spending a few minutes in the garden right when I come home from work is often the best part of my day.
Read MoreRemember the dirt patch by my front door? That is now the herb garden. I have cilantro, thyme, oregano, parsley, and pineapple sage planted there along with the mint that’s still trying to take over.
Read MoreWhen Gavin falls asleep in the middle of the afternoon I know he’s about to be hit with something big. Last week in the middle of the weekend this very thing happened. One minute he was watching a video and the next he was asleep on the floor by his bed.
Read MoreChia is my new obsession and this past weekend I spent an entire day making things with chia seeds. Being dairy free I don’t get to eat many puddings, so when I discovered that chia seed pudding can be made with any type of milk and doesn’t require cooking I was sold!
